1988 BMW 325i Touring

Still the Ultimate Driving Machine

The legend of the E30 lives on over three decades later in the form of this RHD, Lachslibber Metallic 325i Touring.

The Perfect Afternoon Tripper

Whether it’s bringing your dogs to the park, taking the family on a picnic, or running errands for your significant other, the 325i Touring is the perfect companion for your little adventures. The five-seater hatchback is equipped with folding seats to help fit everything from your golf clubs to home improvement projects. Wherever you are heading, you will be in good hands.

Something for Your Inner Race Car Driver

With a five-speed manual transmission, you can now feel as though you are living the scenes of The Fast and the Furious. While you’re at it, embrace the roar of your NA inline-six engine as you tear down the streets of suburbia. Want to leave your mark? The 325i’s rear-wheel drivetrain can help you live your drifting pipedreams.

Rarer Than a Ferrari

Want to have the most exotic car on the block? This car is a real “foreign.” In addition to E30 Touring’s limited production, the Touring was only sold to the European market. This means you will have one of the few in North America. Want to be noticed? Look no further than driving on the “wrong side.” Don’t worry; RHD becomes second nature. However, I suggest that you bring a friend when you visit a drive-through.

Adding to the Fun

This 325i Touring has come a long way since it arrived in the U.S. in early 2020 as it undertook some evolutions to its style. The list includes modifications that have made the driving experience all the more enjoyable.

  • Z3 Steering Rack Upgrade

  • BC Racing Coilovers

  • Custom Stainless Steel Exhaust System

  • Apex ARC-8 Wheels

  • Federal Supper Steel 595 Tires

  • Short Throw Shifter

  • OEM Replica Headlights

  • Touch-Screen Apple CarPlay

  • Pioneer Speakers

  • Flat Door Panels (Original Available)

Looking Forward to the Next 33 Years

Any car that has lasted this long has been taken care of with great persistence. Similarly, this 325i Touring has stood the test of time with only 110,269 miles on the dashboard and no rust on the body. In March of 2021, the vehicle was inspected for flaws. From this, a new timing belt and water pump were installed, valve adjustments were done, and a power-steering fluid leak was fixed (your driveway will thank me later). The car was resprayed its factory paint a few years ago. Prior history of work done is documented. The vehicle was imported from the U.K. in early 2020 and is registered in the state of Florida.

A Unique Experience Waiting to Happen

I am looking for a buyer who can carry on the legacy of this incredibly unique piece of history. Although I had this Touring for a year, I made a lifetime of memories. From cruising with friends to reclining the back seats and watching the sunset out through the open hatch, there was never a dull moment. I’m going to miss the pulls of speed, the tires playfully breaking traction around fast corners, and the refined exhaust note of the engine. My time is up with this joy of a car, but maybe yours is just beginning!
